Four Arguments for the Release of Worrying Over What Others Think About You

release worryWhat does it matter anyway?

We can’t read their minds… Can we?

Recently, I was reading Martha Beck’s book, Steering By Starlight. In it, she talks about one of her clients that had wanted to write a book. She helped him through getting the book written, but when he submitted it for publication, all of the places he submitted it to turned it down.

She thought that he thought she was the worst coach because of that. In reality, he was so grateful for her to help him write the book and considered it one of the biggest accomplishments he ever did.

For years she let this bother her until talking with him and realizing what he really thought about her.

It’s funny that we worry over stuff like this, but it does happen.

I’ve worried over things like this before, feeling like I wasn’t giving enough to a situation, but then later accepting that the person got what they needed.

So, if you’re feeling like this right now, then here’s four arguments and one way to let it all go and release this worry to God…

The Top 5 New Year’s Resolutions

new years fireworksDid you make New Year’s resolutions this year? Are they the same ones from last year?

Mine are because they’re ongoing goals. It takes time to get what you want and even a year isn’t always enough time to reach your goals.

You may fall off the wagon a few times. I admit I did.

You may change course and decide to work on something else first. That happens.

You may even give up for awhile because of life events. You can always get back on course.

I like to think of resolutions as goals for the new year. I constantly set goals for myself so I’m more ritualized into calling resolutions just that… goals.

Goals are attainable. Goals are life changing. [Read more...]

Sit In The Presence of God with Meditation

Have you ever sat in the presence of God?

Or, do you pray to Him most of the time? Telling Him everything you need, want, and desire?

It’s fine to need things and want things, but when you’re praying, praying, praying and constantly talking TO God and not with God about things you want and need, you’re going to eventually drive yourself into a frenzy if you never get what you want.

You’ll think about it, obsess over it and want it so much that you can’t think about anything else.

Sitting in the presence of God lets you forget about all of the things you think you need and focuses more on what God is trying to tell you.

Imagine that for a minute. What is God saying to you right now by not answering those needs?

What does He want you to know right now? [Read more...]
