How to Free Yourself from Work, Have Fun and Still Feel Like You Accomplished Something

You’ve been at it again.

12 hour days, cans of soda, pots of coffee, bars of chocolate…

The day’s gone. It’s time to turn off the computer.

You’ve picked a wonderful career being an entrepreneur from home. You love helping people in your business. In short, you’ve got a killer work from home job that should bring you plenty of happiness and money.

You’re also smart enough to realize that you should take breaks from your job during the day to take care of yourself. So, you keep writing “exercise” or “yoga class” on your to-do list, aiming to take a break during the day to do it. Then you settle into the day and each time you get to that number, you skip it and go to something else.

And nothing ever happens.

You don’t feel good about putting it off. Your back hurts. Your butt starts hurting from sitting in the chair all day long.

You ignored your body asking you for exercise yet again. And worse, you now realize that you’re going to keep adding it to the list again and again, but never do it. You wonder, could I be so tied to my business that I will continue to have no life and never remove the ball and chain to even take an hour to exercise?

Yes, it’s possible.

The Oldest Exercise Myth

“Exercise is painful.”

It sounds right to those people who never do it. That’s why they put it off and keep putting it off.

Maybe that was acceptable twenty years ago, to gripe and complain about exercise.

No more.

The obesity trend in America has to end. With rising costs in healthcare, people losing their jobs, and no health coverage, people are stressed out by everything.

If you want to get freedom from stress now, you need to do more than just write “exercise” on your to-do list. You need to do it.

The Secret to Having Fun While Exercising

Today I was in your shoes. Usually I get up at 5 am to do my P90X routine. Today, I got up later and decided to write “exercise” on my to-do list.

Later today, I was cranky. The “exercise” stuck out on my list like a sore thumb. I knew I had to do it to feel better. So when my friend and coach invited me over after hearing how my day went, he asked if I wanted to do Hip Hop Abs.

I went along with it. Twenty minutes in, I forgot about my day and started having fun.

You see, that’s what exercise does for you. It gives you an hour of freedom to work on yourself (mind, body and spirit). It gives you a chance to forget about work for awhile, let loose and have fun.

Give to Yourself and You’ll Receive

This isn’t anything new to you. Really, it comes down to one of the oldest pieces of wisdom: take care of yourself.

Contrary to what people think, you can’t make anything happen by wishing for it. You’ve got to take action.

Give it a few months, trying a program that you feel is right for you.

It’s hard work, but it’s worth it. If you put half as much effort into exercising, you’ll feel better in a short amount of time. Your body, mind and spirit will thank you for it.

And better yet, you’ll make some lifestyle changes that’ll reinvigorate your work and give you energy. Your customers will be thrilled with your enthusiasm and want to know your secret.
