A tough question to ask. It’s the one you’re avoiding, but you need to ask it anyway.
Whatever’s stealing your peace and joy is the same thing that keeps you up at night.
If you’re stalled right now and not sure what direction to go in, it’s okay. Tell yourself that. You may not be where you want to be right now…
…but, where you are is where you can pick up and keep moving forward.
Start by asking yourself these questions.
1. Ask yourself, “what’s bothering me?”
Whatever it is, you already know it’s bothering you. It’s what you think about all the time, so much so that you’ve given it to your subconscious to think about.
Meantime, your subconscious is telling you it already knows the answer.
All you have to do is ask.
This is how you realize what you can do in the midst of even the toughest situations.
The answer comes fast. Don’t question, don’t rationalize. In that moment, you’ll realize the answer.
2. Leave out the why questions.
Asking “why” doesn’t get you anywhere. It only leads you around in circles like a dog chasing its tail.
3. Ask yourself, “How can I work this out?”
Whatever it is that’s bothering you has a solution. It may not seem like it at this time and it takes a lot of courage to accept that it does have a solution.
It’s human nature to want to complain about things that happen to us and want to stay stuck, giving excuses for why we act the way we do. This is our lower energies keeping us at a lower energy level.
When we ask ourselves how we can work something out, we’ll get quite a few answers. In fact, our mind is made to create several answers that we can choose from. When you ask, “how,” write down all of the answers that come to you.
Choose one that seems to be the right path and begin.
You will find the answer if you ask. Even if it seems like a lot of hard work, take one step forward.
Here’s a trick I learned in coaching class that will help you relax and see the final outcome so you can step into the good feelings now and feel better about getting started.
Imagine you’re sitting on a beach. You have your family and friends around you, enjoying your time with them.
- What are you seeing?
- Are your kids happy and enjoying themselves?
- How do you feel?
- What are you talking about to others?
